Patrick B. Huvane

Patrick Bernard Huvane, formerly of the Bronx, East Durham, New York, and Fort Pierce, Florida passed away at Calvary Hospital on October 8, 2018 at 90 years of age. 
The son of Thomas Huvane and Catherine Mooney, he was born in Irishtown of County Mayo, Ireland before immigrating to England in 1950 then to New York in 1959 with his wife Ellen of County Limerick, Ireland. 
Patrick, known as "Bernie," by family and friends, is survived by his four children, Thomas Huvane of Thornwood, NY; Christine Croke of Monroe, NY; Patrick Huvane of Yonkers, NY; and Kevin Huvane of Brick, New Jersey; as well as his daughters-in-law Nancy, Tracey, and Doreen. He has ten grandchildren: Kara, Deirdre, Niall, Ellen, Kelly, Colin, Sean, Shay, Austin and Molly. He is also survived by his sister Theresa Fallon in England. 
He was an avid Mayo Gaelic Football Club fan and shared his enthusiasm for the game with his sons and grandchildren. 
 
Patrick was pre-deceased by his brothers Stephen, John, Jim, Thomas, son Patrick Bernard Huvane, and his beloved wife of 58 years, Ellen ("Nellie"). 
 

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Thursday, October 11. 2018 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Patrick at Holy Innocent's Church in Pleasantville on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow with his beloved wife Ellen at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York.
