Sylvia Anna Macera (nee Madonna) of Pleasantville, New York passed away peacefully at Rosary Hill Home on Saturday, February 16, 2019 in her 57th year. She was born in the Bronx, New York on April 5, 1961 to Cosimo and Lillian Madonna (nee DeLuca). She was the beloved wife of Anthony and the loving mother of Victoria Lily Macera. Sylvia is survived by her devoted siblings, Frank Madonna (Virginia Madonna), Roseann Miata (Vincent Miata) and Rita Santelia (Vincent Santelia). Her legacy also continues through her cherished cousins, Philip DeLuca (Joanne DeLuca), Peter DeLuca (Diane DeLuca) and Vincent DeLuca (Enrica DeLuca). Sylvia also has many nieces and nephews and cousins that loved her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to honor Sylvia's life at Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM for visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Sylvia at The Church of St. John and St. Mary 30 Poillon Drive Chappaqua, New York 10514 (upper church) on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York.
~ Sylvia's family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Rosary Hill Home, in recognition of the excellent level of care and compassion that they provided in her final days. These donation checks can be made out to the Rosary Hill Home and given to the immediate family. All donations will be presented in Sylvia's memory ~
