Tony Cerrato

Tony Cerrato of Hawthorne, New York passed away peacefully in his 100th year at his residence on Sunday morning, December 22, 2019.  He was born to loving parents Angelo and Lillian Cerrato in New York City on October 16, 1919.  Tony lived in New York City, the Bronx, Bronxville, Brewster and Hawthorne, New York.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Helen (Mayer) Cerrato who passed away in 2010 his daughter Germaine Snetzko and grandson Christopher Snetzko.  He is survived by his loving children Lillian Hogan (Timothy), Paulette Kaylor and Anthony Cerrato (Christine).  He was the cherished grandfather of Matthew Hogan (Lauren), Claudine, Jeffery (Jenna), Glenn (Connie), Anthony and Michael (Kaitlyn).  Beloved great grandfather of William, Sebastian and Alexander.  Professionally, Tony worked in construction for most of his life and served his country during World War II in the United States Army, most notably in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. 

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 9:00 - 12:30 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Tony at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM.  Interment will follow at St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery in Brewster, New York.  To commemorate Tony's service to his country the United States Army Honor Guard will be present to deliver military honors.
