Ann Maria Preston D’agostino
Ann Maria (Preston) D’agostino, 82, of Valhalla passed away at her home on Friday March 15, 2024. Born in Salford, England on October 18, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Ann Maria Taggart Preston and Thomas Preston. She had 2 step brothers and a step sister. Ann moved to York, England and with her dad, stepmom and step siblings, then resided in Manchester England with her grandmother, until she came to the US at age 18 to work as a nanny. Ann met and lived with her lifelong friend on the plane coming over from England. A few years later she met and married Natal D’agostino. They lived in White Plains, NY and Danbury, CT before moving to Valhalla, NY, where they raised their children. Ann resided in Valhalla until her passing. Ann worked as a manager and waitress at Friendly’s in White Plains, Mt. Kisco, and finally retiring at the Suffern, NY location. Ann enjoyed her work and the friends that she met at Friendly’s. Ann is survived by her four loving children Frank D’agostino (Silvani) of Coconut Creek FL, Terri Ann Monti (Felix) of Brewster, NY, Veronica of Brewster, NY and Thomas D’agostino (Terri Moe) of Stamford, NY. Ann is the beloved Nana of Lauren Brugnatelli, Michael Monti, Matthew Brugnatelli and Alissa Brugnatelli. Ann had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. She was strong and independent. She had faith in God and overcame many
obstacles in her life. Her strength and work ethic were admired by those that adored her. Ann had a sharp mind, was sassy and had a great sense of humor, which will be truly missed. Her greatest love was walking her dog Tiffy (and the late Tanya, Buddy and Celina) around the block and seeing her neighbors. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family in England. Ann’s health recently declined, she fought with strength and courage. May she be at peace and be with her deceased family and friends in heaven.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated for Ann at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:30 AM.
