Anne (Gabrielli) Cafiero

Anne Cafiero passed away peacefully in her 91st year on Thursday, June 9, 2022.
 

Anne loved life and was content living a simple one. She loved a good time and was the life of the party. Anywhere there was music you could find Annie on the dance floor “cutting the rug” 

Though her home was small and modest, Anne (“Annie”, “Mrs. C”) was known by all to have an “open door” policy. All were welcome in her home—the more the merrier! Many of her children’s friends referred to her as their “second Mom.”  She was famous for her Sunday gravy and meatballs; and, if you timed it right, you could get a taste of one!

Anne made friends wherever she went. She loved people, and they felt that love. She treasured her friends and was blessed with many.

Most of all Anne loved her family and extended family. She strove to be the best Mom she could be and give them the things she missed being an only child: a house filled with people, fun, and laughter and she certainly accomplished that!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Matthew Kevin Moore Foundation for Leadership & Community Service.  Matthew was grandson of Anne, 10/1/1982 - 5/23/2012.

Family and friends are invited to Ralph Giordano Funeral Home 1727 Crosby Avenue Bronx, New York 10461 on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM for visitation .  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anne on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Providence Rest Nursing Home 3304 Waterbury Avenue Bronx, New York 10465 at 10:30 AM.
