Antonio Denardis

Antonio Denardis of Briarcliff Manor passed away in his 69th year on Monday, July 18, 2022.

Antonio was the devoted husband of his wife, Remy and is also survived by his daughter Gina, and his two sons John and Anthony. He was also a loving grandfather to his granddaughter.

 Antonio DeNardis was born in Pietraferrazzana, Abruzzo, Italy.  He was the son of the late Giovanni & Bambina DeNardis. He is predeceased by his late brother Annunziato. Tony, as he was known by most, loved nothing more than his family. He took great pride in being a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was also extremely passionate about his business. Tony opened Spaccarelli’s Ristorante in Millwood, New York in 1986 and it was his pride and joy ever since.    

From a young age, Tony knew his passion. His father was a prestigious chef & he came from a long line of chefs. Tony came to America at the age of 14, where he began working as a busboy. He then became a waiter and eventually a manager of restaurants such as Alex & Henry’s, and Dario’s. He went on to open Spaccarelli’s Ristorante and has run it since 1986.  He loved his hometown of Pietraferrazzana, Italy and would visit his friends and family as often as he could. He loved going out to dinner every Monday night with his family, he loved watching soccer & spending time with his granddaughter. He was the most loving, kind and devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family. He had many friends & loyal customers, and he will missed by all that knew him best. The legacy of Tony’s spirit, kindness, passion, strength and inspiration will live on through his family & friends.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM for visitation.
