Obituary
Barbara Connelly (nee Matern) passed away 4 days before her 93rd birthday at Danbury Regional Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was the devoted wife of Vinny (deceased) and the mother of Jean Windels (Joe), Vinny (Joanne) and Joanne Burns (Steve). She was also the wonderful grandma to Mike (Kerri), Tom, Colleen, Christina, Steph, Megan (Tommy), and Lauren and loving great grandma to Henry. Barbara was a school nurse in the New Rochelle school system from 1972 to 2000. She always imparted wonderful advice and wisdom and was generous in so many ways. She will be sorely missed.
Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Barbara at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Committal services will be held privately after the mass at The Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
