Born December 11, 1986 -  Died October 29, 2021

Brett was 34 years old. He moved to Breckenridge, Colorado in 2013. Previously resided in New York and Pennsylvania. Colorado is where he discovered his love of the beautiful scenery and increased his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, dog sitting, cooking and was always there to help a friend in need.  He worked at the Breckenridge Brewery where he made amazing friendships, some of which became extended family. He was genuinely kind, extremely generous, down to earth, loving and hard working. He came into this world with the never ending love of his mother, Maureen. He was the son who instantly enriched her life and every one else who was lucky enough to love him. 

He is survived by his mother, Maureen, his loving sister Caitlin (Joe Glenn), his loving Godfather and Uncle Patrick McCarney (Karen McCarney), his loving Godmother and Aunt Eileen DeMayo. His loving Grandmother Mary Filancia (Dino Filancia), his loving cousins Amanda, Colin and Marissa McCarney and Sophia and Richie DeMayo. 

Memorial was held in Breckenridge, Colorado on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 where incredible stories of the man he was, were shared with his mother, sister, Aunt, Uncle and cousin.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 10:00 - 1:00 PM to celebrate Brett's life.
