Carol Ann (Ackerly) Priore

Carol Ann Priore of Valhalla passed away in her 87th year peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.  She was born to proud parents Charles and Bertha Ackerly in New Bedford, Massachusetts.  Carol Ann was the beloved wife of Vito J. Priore in which they shared 64 loving years of marriage.  She was the loving mother of Carol Ann Priore (John Briganti), John Priore (Shiela), Kathy Daigneault (Michael) and Thomas Priore (Lori).  She was the cherished grandmother of 11 loving grandchildren: Ashley, Lauren, Erika, Tom, Sydney, Dean, Vito, Andrew, Juliette, Walter and John Michael.  She was also blessed to be a great grandmother of Ansley, Bryce and Roman.  She is also survived by her loving siblings John Ackerly and Claire Wright.  In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her brother Charles Ackerly Jr and her sister Johanne Heller.  

Professionally, Carol Ann was a much loved and highly respected teacher's assistant at Blythedale Children's Hospital as well as a beautician.  Carol Ann's hobbies include golf, bowling, gardening, playing cards, book club and traveling. 

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue - Thornwood, New York 10594 on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM for visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Carol Ann at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
