Obituary
Donald J. Carpenter of the Bronx passed away in his 70th year on Friday, August 18, 2023 in the Bronx, New York.
Donald Carpenter was born on June 2. 1953 in New York City to the late Herbert and Theresa (Walsh) Carpenter. While living in the Bronx he met his future wife, Victoria Pacella and they were wed on September 17, 1988. After 2 years of marriage they welcomed into their family a daughter, Heather Marie Carpenter on March 1, 1990, Vicky passed away on August 7, 1992 from cancer. For many years before his retirement Donald worked as a doorman for Local 32BJ, and he would love to tell stories about the residents and his daily work life.
Donald is survived by his daughter Heather Carpenter, his brothers William Carpenter, Raymond Carpenter and Michael Carpenter, many loving in laws, nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his sister Joan Carpenter and his brothers Joseph, Ronald, Richard and Peter Carpenter.
Family and friends are invited to The Ralph Giordano Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Donald at St. Theresa’s Church on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 9:45 AM. Donald will be laid to rest in his family plot at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx, New York following the funeral mass.
