Franklin LaGrippo
February 5, 1938 - January 7, 2021
Franklin LaGrippo, (82), formally of The Bronx, New York passed away
peacefully in his home on Thursday, January 7, 2021, surrounded by the comfort of
family.
Frank was born on February 5, 1938, in Harlem, New York. He was a dedicated son to
Joseph and Anna. Frank is now reunited with his wife and the love of his life, Janet.
Frank is survived by his children; Joseph (Rosa), Louis, Steven, Frank (Patricia), as well
as his beloved grandchildren; Jennifer, Stephanie (Robert), Frankie, Jason, Victoria,
Sofia, and Leanna. He is also survived by his three great-grandsons Robert, Steven,
and Charles. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Frank had a lot of titles in life; son, husband, father, grandfather, cousin, neighbor,
friend, business owner, manager and he owned each with great pride. He was greatly
loved and respected by all who knew him. A devoted family man, his love and
commitment to them came first. Although he was an only child, his friends Frank Vitacco
and Frank (Tex) Ahlers were his chosen brothers. He always opened his heart and his
home to anyone who needed him.
A man of great wisdom, he shared his philosophies often and his most famous thought
was that “life was just a bowl of memories.” Franks’s final note to his family was to ‘be
tough, be strong, and remember to love your families and love one another and you’ll be
fine.
