Frank Thomas Santamorena passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at his home in Marlboro, New York, where he has lived since 1967. During his years here he was a volunteer fireman, and an active member of the Lyons Club. But most of his enjoyment came from spending time in his garage working on cars with friends and family, including his grandsons who have heartfelt memories of the lessons he taught them while working with him on big projects. He liked to hunt and fish, and he loved to meet his friends for coffee and conversation. Quick Chek became his favorite place to go, and it didn’t take long for him to become part of the Quick Chek family.
In his later years he spent time in Florida with his wife, where he enjoyed going to the casino and eating at any buffet they could find. Frank spent a lot of time sitting outside in the Florida sun, swimming, and enjoying his cigarettes, and he seemed to have a tan that would never go away. He looked forward to weekly visits and card games with his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, and he appreciated the company of his family and friends more than anything else. He loved to tell stories about his time in the Navy at Whiting field, and of spending childhood summers helping his grandmother while working at the family-owned beach at Throgs Neck in the Bronx.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Santamorena, His daughters, Julie Campanella, and Annmarie Lobdell, his brother Thomas Santamorena, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He will be missed immensely by everyone who knew him. We will always have amazing memories of our time spent together, whether it be a ride to Quick Chek for coffee and breakfast sandwiches, watching TV, having dinner together, or watching him enjoy his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a life well lived and is now at peace. We imagine he is catching up with all his family and friends who have gone before him
Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue - Thornwood, New York 10594 on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 10:00 - 1:00 PM for visitation. Frank will be laid to rest in his family crypt at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne with full military honors, provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
