George Telesha Jr. died peacefully in his sleep on April 14, 2021 and he was dealing with a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in New York and grew up in Pennsylvania, he decided to join the Army in 1967 and served over Korea in the 8th USA Honor Guard. He moved back to NY and lived in Carmel, Lake George, Poughkeepsie and until his passing in New Rochelle.
George made a career out of getting into computers and working at several big companies like Reader’s Digest, American Can, Duracell and made lasting impressions on his coworkers and helping them with his knowledge. When he retired, he formed New Tattoo Radio and other projects on the internet.
He dedicated much of his time fighting for father’s rights and warning parents about the dangers of the internet at its inception. In 1993, George was quoted in the New York Times as the President of the Father’s Rights Association of Westchester County, NY.
George was a kid at heart. He loved his gadgets, playing paintball and loved checking out the new Microsoft products and testing them out.
George was a very kind hearted, loving father who was always positive with his battle with Parkinson’s during his later years. He is survived by his 2 sons George Telesha III and Adam Telesha. Grandchildren Avery, Devyn and Alex. He is also survived by his brother Anthony Telesha and loving nieces and nephew. Amri Plisko, Seton Silver, Andrea Telesha and Marc Telesha.
Burial will be at Long Island National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to www.michaeljfox.org for Parkinson’s research.
