In Loving Memory of Glynda R. Thomas
January 25, 1936 – July 21, 2025
Glynda Thomas, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at the age of 89 in Melbourne, FL. Glynda was a long-time resident of Valhalla, NY and more recently Melbourne, FL. She was an active member of her community and known affectionately as “Mema” to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their friends. Glynda was a eucharistic minister for Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla. Glynda was a longtime parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus. She received her sacraments there and was celebrated by the church as a Rosarian for 65 years. She is survived by her children, Susan, Karen, Richard and Glenn; her grandchildren Angela, Joe, Brianne, Sabrina, Adam, Ricky, Rena and Cassie; and great-grandchildren Sadie, Isabella, Alex, Willow, Sebastian and Hailey. Glynda was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Thomas.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue - Thornwood, New York 10594 on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM for visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Glynda at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM.  Glynda will be laid to rest in her family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne following the funeral mass.
