Obituary

HILDEGARDE WAS  BORN ON JANUARY 26TH, 1929 IN MT. VERNON, NEW YORK. SHE  ATTENDED A.B. DAVIS HIGH SCHOOL AND HAD THE HONOR OF GRADUATING WITH THE FAMOUS DICK CLARK.  SHE WENT ON TO ATTEND THE PHOENIX SCHOOL OF DESIGN WHERE SHE MAJORED IN THE FINE ARTS AND PAINTING.  WHILE PURSUING A CAREER IN ADVERTISING, SHE MET HER SOULMATE AND HUSBAND THE LATE FRED (FREDDY) STADELMAN. 10 YEARS LATER THEY WELCOMED THEIR DAUGHTER KIM (KIMMY).  SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY PASQUALE (PAT) CAROLINI “THE GREATEST SON IN LAW IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD”  AND THREE GRAND CHILDREN DAMIANA, SOPHIA, AND LUIGI, WHICH SHE PROUDLY BRAGGED ABOUT CONSTANTLY TO ALL.
SHE CHERISHED EVERY MOMENT SPENT WITH HER FREDDY, WORKING SIDE BY SIDE AT STADELMAN ADVERTISING CONCEPTS.  TOGETHER THEY TRAVELED ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR THEIR CREATIVE IDEAS AND ADVERTISEMENTS.  .
HILDE ENJOYED HER PAINTING, BUT SHE COULDN'T PAINT WITHOUT HER FRED LOOKING OVER HER SHOULDER. SHE CONTINUED GIVING ART LESSONS AND BEING A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE HUDSON VALLEY ART ASSOCIATION.  THEY WOULD HOST MONTHY MEETINGS AS AN EXCUSE TO HAVE A GATHERING, WHICH YOU WOULD FIND THEY WERE ALWAYS THE LIFE OF THE PARTY, SHOWING OFF WHAT FANTASTIC DANCERS THEY WERE.
MUSIC WAS ALWAYS A HUGE PART OF HER LIFE.  SHE PLAYED TRUMPET, PIANO AND GAVE LESSONS AS WELL.  SHE INSISTED THAT HER GRANDCHILDREN LEARN TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT AND TREATED THEM TO GUITAR AND VOICE LESSONS AS WELL AS PROVIDING THE INSTRUMENTS. THEN ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO THEIR MUSIC RECITALS, DANCE RECITALS AND THEATRE PERFORMANCES IN THE RYE NECK SCHOOL PLAYS.
ANOTHER JOY WAS HER LOVE OF SINGING.  SHE JOINED THE ST STEPHENS EPISCOPAL CHURCH CHOIR AND WAS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE WESTCHESTER CHORALE SOCIETY.
HILDE WAS ONE TO ALWAYS TRY NEW THINGS AND SAMPLE THE “INTERESTING” FOODS ON THE MENU. THIS LOVE OF FOOD LEAD TO  THE MANY YEARS OF SUPERMARKET FOOD DEMOS. THE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY SHE WAS MADE HERSELF KNOWN EVERYWHERE WHERE SHE WENT. EVERYONE KNEW “HILDE”.   SHE TRULY ENJOYED BEING WITH ALL PEOPLE, LOOKING FOR ANY OPPORTUNITY TO START UP A CONVERSATION OR GAME OF DOMINOS, AND WOULD BEAT YOU EVERY TIME.
SHE NEVER STRESSED OVER LIFE OR THE FUTURE AND LIVED FOR TODAY.  SHE SAW THE WORLD IN A DIFFERENT WAY THEN OTHERS.  SHE ALWAYS “STOPPED TO SMELL THE ROSES” AND ADMIRE THE CLOUDS.  SEEING BEAUTY IN EVERYTHING.  EVEN LOOKING AT VACATION PHOTOS SHE WOULD BE LOOKING FOR SUBJECT MATTER TO PAINT OR SKETCH.HILDE WOULD NEVER , EVER SAY THE WORDS “GOOD BYE”.  SHE WOULD ALWAYS LEAVE YOU WITH “HAVE FUN!”.
AFTER MANY YEARS OF COPD,  WHICH LEAD TO A YEAR OF RESPIRATORY FAILURE, HILDE PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY ON MAY 4TH, 2020 AT 91 YEARS YOUNG.
NOW FINALLY REUNITED WITH HER FREDDY TO DANCE AND SHARE A COCKTAIL.
REST IN PEACE.  THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU. 'TIL WE MEET AGAIN, HAVE FUN.

Hildegarde will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in their family plot at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Armonk, New York on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 11:30 AM.
