Obituary
Irma Ayabarrena was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico on October of 1928, youngest of 17 children, to Genaro Ayabarrena & Quintina Rivera. She is survived by 2 children, 4 grandchildren, & 9 great-grandchildren. During her wonderful life she provided for her three children, working as a seamstress and cook, all while being a strong single no nonsense loving mother. She loved them and lead them to become productive and independent people who worked for years serving our community. Those skills and traits continue to be passed on to the current generation. Irma was strong willed, spicy, and sassy to the end, just as she lived her life. Rest in Peace and, as always, prepare our way.
Viewing will be at 10:30 AM & Mass will be at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Church on Monday 10 April, 2023. Cremation to follow. No viewing at Cremation facility.

Family and friends are invited to Holy Cross Church 600 Soundview Avenue - Bronx, New York 10473 on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial. After mass Irma will be cremated privately at The Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York.
