John Michael Flynn

John Michael Flynn, of Hawthorne, NY, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021, at the age of 70.
John was the true definition of a family man. There was nothing more important to him than the
happiness of those he kept close to his heart. He cherished his wife, Gail Flynn, of 40 years the most.
John never let an anniversary, birthday, or holiday pass without buying her the most beautiful
arrangement of flowers. Next, came the love he held for his two daughters Erin and Lauren. John would
drive to the ends of the earth to make sure each of his girls were safe and healthy, and often did! He
was always present at all their school events, coached their sport teams, and knew all of their friends’
names. John’s passion and love he held for his daughters was continued through his dedication to his
grandson, Rowan Sheppard. He was so excited to be expanding his love once again with the arrival of a
second grandchild at any time.
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Flynn and his brother Martin Flynn. He is
survived by his wife Gail Flynn, eldest daughter Erin Flynn and grandson Rowan Sheppard, younger
daughter Lauren McClintock and son in law Brian McClintock, older sister Eileen Faulkner and brother-
in-law James Faulkner , younger sister Karen Flynn, sister-in-law Patricia DeCesare and brother-in-law
Joseph DeCesare and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM for visitation.
