Joseph A. Casaburi

Joseph was the oldest of 6 children born to Mary and Vincent Casaburi in NYC 1921. Joseph was a skilled upholsterer and created fine draperies, custom slipcovers and wall treatments even after retiring well into his 90’s. He solely cared for his wife Lena until she
passed in 2013 at the age of 92. Joseph served in WWII and received a purple heart for an injury he incurred. Joseph was a strong, vibrant, honest, honorable man who was very proud of his profession in which he took immense pleasure in executing everything he created in the most perfect way. He enjoyed music, his life and mostly spending time with his family. Joseph is survived by his 2 sisters Jenny and Emma, and his youngest brother Fred, along with daughter Cora, grand daughter Jennifer and 2 great grandchildren, Lucas and Shane.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation.  Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM, Fr. Timothy Wiggins to officiate, entombment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
