Lawrence Randolph Boyd passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest in the early hours of Tuesday morning, May 26th. Born in Brooklyn, New York he was the only child of Oliver Kenneth and Olive May Randolph Boyd.
Larry attended John Adams High School, Wagner College where he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. He earned dual degrees - Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws - with a focus on American History and Economics. Following graduation, he proudly served two years in the United States Army, with the rank of Specialist. He went on to build a successful career in banking, serving as Vice President at Village Savings in Port Chester before retiring in the 1990s from Citibank's Commercial Real Estate Financial Services Group.
He is survived by the love of his life, Victoria Conte Boyd, with whom he shared more than 29 years of marriage. Larry was an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and found joy in reading, home repairs, woodworking, gardening, cooking and dancing. He was also a devoted member of the 40/40 Club in Port Chester since 1976, where he proudly served two terms as president and was the current treasurer.
Larry will be remembered as a patient, kind and generous, charming gentleman who treated everyone he met with warmth and respect. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his family and their beloved puppies.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the friends and neighbors who generously gave their time to drive Larry to meetings and doctor appointments.
Next time you pick up a book, think of Larry ------chances are, he may have read it too.
Services will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
