Louis "Louie" Moizio Obituary
Louis Moizio or more affectionally known as Louie, of Bronxville passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in his 65th year. Louie was born in Mount Vernon on January 30, 1960 to proud and loving parents Joseph and Terry Moizio (nee Stisi). Louie is survived by his beloved wife Diane, his loving mother Terry, brother-in-law Clyde Jones and his family. Louie leaves behind his uncles Frank and Vincent. He also leaves behind to mourn his loss: his Aunt Nancy as well as four nephews, numerous cousins, his father Joe’s devoted gardener Orlando as well as his beloved cat Ninja. He leaves behind many devoted and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his father Giuseppe (Joseph) Moizio on July 12, 2021 and his four loving grandparents. Louie was a well-respected and talented AC & refrigerator mechanic, working in Hunts Point Meat Market. Louie would often take in stray animals in Hunts Point to care for them. Hobbies of Louie's included traveling especially to Lake Placid and Lake George in the Adirondacks Mountains of New York. He enjoyed antiquing as well as rooting on his two favorite sports teams: The New York Yankees and The New York Giants. Louie was also a gifted tour guide for Mount Vernon Historical Society at St. Paul's Church. He was a history fanatic as well as an avid reader.
Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue - Thornwood, New York 10594 on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:30 AM for visitation. Religious services for Louie will be held at the Pleasant Manor chapel at 11:45 AM. Louie will be laid to rest in his family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne following the religious on Thursday.
