Mary Cotter, 101, of the Bronx, New York passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on April 7, 2021.
Born, Mary McInerney, in Manhattan and raised in the Bronx, New York. She was the first graduating class of Our Lady of Assumption school and life-long parishioner where she married her beloved husband, Thomas Paul Cotter and raised their six children.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her six children; Johnny (Laura), Claire, Thomas (Ginny), Ellen, Kathleen (James) Moore, and Joseph and her doting grandchildren; Janine, Sabrina, Tommy, Bryan, Colleen, Timothy, Erin and her 14 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mary at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Thomas at The Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York. Her burial will be held privately and attended by family only due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place by the cemetery.
