Matthew M. Kelly

Matthew M. Kelly of Thornwood passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 in his 79th year.  Matthew is survived by his beloved wife Linda A. Raffaelle - Kelly. His loving children Nicole L. Kelly and Matthew A. Kelly.  He was the cherished grandfather of Jospeh Matthew and Sophia Lynn Tanzi.  Matthew was predeceased by his parents Fannie Gertrude Martin and Matthew Joseph Kelly and his siblings James Kelly, William Kelly and June Kelly.

Matt graduated Sleepy Hollow High School in 1963 and went on to serve his country in the Air Force in 1964.  He was first stationed at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida and then reported to his mission in the Philippine's, where he served for 3 more years.  

After his service, he met and married his beautiful, Linda in 1971 and went on to his career with Local #780 and Local #5 as a Cement Manson Foreman.  After 9/11, Matt volunteered for 6 months in the recovery efforts at Ground Zero in New York City.

Matt was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the Adirondack Mountains as he hunted them with his best friend's for decades.  Matt had the greatest smile and sweet tooth and was the best story-teller!  But above all, he ADORED his grandchildren.  

Matt will be greatly missed.  Services for Matthew M. Kelly were held privately.
