Parambil M. Jacob

Mr. Parambil Jacob of Elmsford passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday evening, July 9, 2026.  Born to Mathai and Saramma Parambil on August 30, 1942, in Keezhillam, Ernakulam District, Kerala, India, he was the eldest of six children. He studied Civil Engineering Draftsmanship in Kerala and continued his training through the Military Engineering Services in India, a career that took him throughout the country. He married the love of his life, Anna, on January 15, 1973, and together they began building a beautiful family with the birth of their first child later that year. In 1974, he immigrated to the United States in search of greater opportunities for his family. Through hard work, determination, and sacrifice, he built a life rooted in love and dedication. He held many jobs over the years before retiring in 2011 as a car maintainer with the New York City Transit Authority. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Anna; his daughter Jeena, her husband Sayed, and their children Zavian, Alina, Imran, and Summer; and his daughter Jeny, her husband Ram, and their children Joshua and Daniel. He is also survived by his four brothers — Paulose and his wife Ammini, Joseph and his wife Molly, George and his wife Sani, and Joy and his wife Lisy — as well as his sister Mary and her husband George. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who will cherish his memory. Family was always the center of his life. Nothing mattered more to him than making sure those he loved were cared for and supported. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply and would do anything for. He will be profoundly missed for his love, strength, generosity, encouragement, and guidance. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and will continue to watch over all of us.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue - Thornwood, New York 10594 on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation.  Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Manor on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 9:00 AM.  Mr. Jacob will be laid to rest in his family plot at Mount Calvary Cemetery in White Plains following the funeral services.
