Patricia (Quinn) Helwig

Patricia Helwig, 85, of Pleasantville, New York, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 23, 1940, in Manhattan, New York, to the late Helen (nee Read) and Joseph Quinn. Patricia was deeply loved by all who knew her and she will be profoundly missed.

Patricia attended St. Anselm Elementary School in the Bronx and graduated from Cathedral High School in Manhattan. She married the love of her life, Michael Helwig, on August 3, 1963. Following her graduation from Bellevue Nursing School in June 1964, Patricia began a long and dedicated career in the Emergency Room at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, NY.

Patricia is survived by her children: Patrice and Kevin Duane of Valhalla, NY; Catherine and Barry Robbins of Mamaroneck, NY; Elisabeth of Providence, RI; and Lauren Albanese of Providence, RI. She was a devoted grandmother to Brian and Brendan Duane of Valhalla, NY, and Liliana, Siena, and William Albanese of Providence, RI. She is also survived by her sister, Maureen Lawlor of East Brunswick, NJ, and her brother, Joseph Quinn.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael; her cherished daughter, Colleen; and her sister and brother‑in‑law, Joan and Kenneth Galbraith of Elmira, NY.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue - Thornwood, New York 10594 on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM for visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Patricia at Holy Innocent's Church in Pleasantville on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM.  Patricia and Colleen will be laid to rest in their family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne following the funeral mass.
