Patrick Cavanaugh Obituary

Patrick Francis Cavanaugh passed away at Vassar Brothers Hospital on Thursday, January 7, 2021 in his 96th year. He was born March 17, 1924 in Yonkers, New York. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Florence of 72 years. He is survived by his daughters Carol and her husband Buddy Capraro and Alecia Cavanaugh (Paul Dilorio). His grandchildren Scott, Pam, Todd Capraro and Sara Torlish and his great - grandchildren Brayden, Riley and Olivia. He was also the beloved brother of Jean Finnerty. Patrick was an SGT/4 in World War II and served in the South Pacific from 1942 - 1945 in the Americal Division Company 266. His medals include: Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal.

Patrick will be entombed with his beloved Florence at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York with full military Army honors.
