Raywti Pillai passed away peacefully at age 88 on Thursday, June 27th in Sleepy Hollow. She was born in 1935 to loving parents in Trinidad. She, along with her older brother Ramsumair, enjoyed a happy and loving family. Raywti later immigrated to Canada in search of further opportunities, where she worked, put herself through nursing school and brought her brother’s family to Canada. She later grew tired of the snow and moved to California, where she married and had one daughter, Anu. Raywti worked as a registered nurse at San Francisco General, Herrick and Alta Bates hospitals and raised her daughter in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. She led a life full of adventures, accomplishments, and love. She loved to garden and had a green thumb and was an amazing cook. She enjoyed nothing more than being in the company of her loved ones.
