Rita (Murano) Carbone

Rita Carbone (nee Murano), 90, passed away peacefully in her home on January 31st, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bronx, New York and longtime resident of White Plains. Rita had a keen sense of style, as she often spoke of her many years as a dressmaker, as well as a taste for good Scotch and red wine. She was overjoyed to meet and spend time with her great grandson who always brought a smile to her face. Rita was predeceased by her loving husband, Carmine Carbone and sister, Carmela (Millie) Crescenzo. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Anne McNamara and son-in-law George, her adored granddaughter Lauren and her husband Robert, cherished great grandson, Cole and loving sister, Ida Sicilia.

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM for visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Rita at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM.  Interment with her beloved husband Carmine will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York.
