Robert L. Gonzalez

Robert L. Gonzalez of Valhalla passed away at Rosary Hill Home in his 71st year on Friday, May 31, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  Robert was born and raised in White Plains to proud parents Isaac and Luz Gonzalez on August 25, 1952.   Robert was the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart Jude T. (nee Vetrano) for 50 wonderful years.  He was the cherished father of Marisa Park (Jeff) of West Harrison and Robert Gonzalez of Fleetwood.  Robert was the loving and devoted grandfather of Aidan Park.  He was also the loving brother of Edward (Elizabeth) Gonzalez, Lydia (Roland) Cassia and Michael (Lisa) Gonzalez.  Also left to mourn his loss is Maryanne and Peter Ragonesi, Virginia and James Ford, many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.  Robert was predeceased by his loving sister-in-law Helen (Vetrano) Serrano and Marie (Bellantoni) Gonzalez.  Professionally, Robert was a gifted and well respected union carpenter for 40 years.  One of his biggest joys in life was watching his grandson and best friend Aidan grow up.  Even through his two year batter with cancer Robert found peace and joy in his beloved koi pond, watching football and basketball and being surrounded by his loving family and friends. 

Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue - Thornwood, New York 10594 on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM for visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Robert at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
