Robert J. Spano of Hyde Park passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 16, 2026 in his 63rd year.
More than anything Rob loved to be surrounded by family. He loved to make people feel included and to make people laugh. He loved his wife, son and daughters with all of his heart. He was a graduate of Westlake High School 1980 and attended Delhi State University.
For the past six years Rob enjoyed the Serene surroundings of his 10 acre farm in Hyde park New York, treasuring most of all, his barn where he spent hours upon hours. It was his haven. Rob was an avid marathon runner, tri athlete and loved to zip through his beautiful property on his four wheeler.
Rob started working at 15 years old and never stopped. He started working as project manager for Whiting - Turner in 2003, a total of 23 years. The dozens of men and women Rob worked with not only became friends, but family. Rob was a devout Christian and his relationship with Jesus Christ was most important to him.
Rob is survived by his wife Nancy, son Jonathan, daughters: Ava, Abbey and Carly. His grandson, Cooper. Niece Casey, nephews Aleksander, James and Steven, cousins John, Steve and Michael. Siblings Jim (Susan) and Joann (Andrejs), parents Grace and James and among others his dog blue.
Family and friends are invited to Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial in Robert's honor.
