Thomas A. Flynn of Thornwood, NY (formerly of Bronx, NY) died after a long illness on June 18, 2021. He was 82 years old.
The son of the late William Flynn and Elsie Bacchus, he was born on October 21, 1938, in the Bronx. He is predeceased by his sisters Barbara Guilfoyle and Madeline Cronan. Tom served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Later, he became a successful entrepreneur who left a legacy with Boars Head Provision Company. Tom lived in Thornwood over 45 years, through which time he shared many adventures with his neighbors. He is survived by his loving family: son, Thomas Flynn of Thornwood, NY; nephew, Robert Cronan of Queens, NY; grandchildren Michelle and Nicole Flynn; and faithful Labrador, Lily.
Family and friends are invited to Pleasant Manor Funeral Home, Inc. 575 Columbus Avenue Thornwood, New York 10594 on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM to honor Tom’s life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 26th at 10:00 am at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla, NY. Thomas will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery following the funeral mass.
